Ecm

Well, I'm getting ready to pull the ECM that I see tucked up behind the glove box from the non-running '99 Taco. As soon as I remove the two obstacles (bundles of wire attached to the top of the glove box) I should be able to gain access to the two phillips screws and/or 12mm bolts. Will the unit then slide out, or do the wire bundles need to be detached from the ECM first? I can't see how the wire bundles going into the ECM are attached to the ECM and Haynes nor the FSM are helpful. If anyone could 'chime in' with your experience/knowledge, it'd be greatly appreciated. You should have a little wiggle room .

The connectors are like most Toyota ones press the clip and pull the plug out.

Being most likely in there since new it might take some effort to get the plugs loose and out
