Quoted from little_joe on 4x4wire:

anyone with a Toyota 4WD w/ low-range is welcome

Guess that excludes you 2wd guys. Seriously, just park your 2wd's and tag along with someone else.

Low-range is 4-lo on your shifter. If you have 4wheel drive then you have 4-lo.

Can you teach me this weekend? Also how to use this thing I have people call a "e-locker", what exactly is it? Is it a electric locker where I have a key code to put my books in? Can you teach me to operate that also? Oh yea, you don't have one That sucks, you got no where to put your books after school

Another Paragon in May

For all those who are planning to go to the EC4RJ, there is another one listed here in the Off Road Trip Planning forum.

This one takes place near the end of May.

Also listed on his TTORA site is some pretty cool tips for the rear Toy E lockers.
http://www.offroaders.com/info/tech-...oma_locker.htm

This will make it work in 4high, or 2WD instead of just 4 low.

Hey wait a second... I coined the phrase EC4RJ .. But no one has asked me about using the name.. LOL!! Nawh, I don't care..

Hey seriously.. Paragon trails, for those who have wheeled with me and know what I will do with my truck.. How are the moderate trails?? I don't want to "walk in the off road park" Something like the riverbed at GWNF would be sweet...

YES! I think the guys that live close have to bring a case of beer to share, but I am not sure. It might be two cases...

See you there!!!

Uuugh!!! The wife has decided that EC4RJ isn't enough of a family outing for her and my kiddies to tag along. She WAS going to have to watch the kids with a family from Maine we were going to meet for camping. Two wives and 5 kids... I guess they didn't like the odds.

There is a silver lining. Looks like I still get to go, but it will be more of a boys weekend for me... I've got a couple of buddies who want to go now...

I was going to have to camp at Dingman's Ferry with the folks we were meeting, so it's actually for the best. I'm going to try the Mrs. again with your info, maybe that will help. I'm coming either way.

Still going....

Well Cebby I'm from Maine and I'm still going if that helps...lol...Just worried about having my truck ready before the end of June...lol...I'm running stock gears, open diffs and 33"s being turned by a 22RE in my 88 4Runner....I did some searching and I figure it's going to cost me alittle over $1,300 for my gears and lockers....I believe it's 4wheelpartswholesalers that have a gear and locker package for $1,392.95...it includes front and rear gears (for me I'd get the 4.88), Front Detroit Tru-Trac LSD, Rear Detroit Tru-Trac full auto locking diff, all bearings+setup parts for that price.....But am I going to really need to regear and get locked to go? Plus I want to have my bull bar ready before then too...but I don't know....

There's some stuff very similar to the creek bed at GWNF (like Old Long Run and Second Mountain). I don't know if Paragon would consider that to moderate, but generally you'd want to stick to the green 2, green 3, and blue 1 trails.

I was at paragon last summer and ran green 2, green 3, blue 1 and blue 2 trails. I have a mini writeup of the trip on my website. You can check out the pics to get a feel for the terrain. As usual, the pics don't do the park justice.
