Well, I found out from the superflow manual that you should do all test in the gear that is closest to 1:1, but obviusly thier our safe speed limits to tires that don't always allow for this so the you have to adjust the dyno with you gear ratios to get a propper corection factor. If every one in his area dyno's in certain gears regardless of actual ratio probably only have half a clue of what they are doing or have the dyno's skewed to print numbers that are higher than actual to make thier stuff look better. Which is surpeisingly common.
