Droning sound while hard accelerating?

Anyone else have this sound? While I am accelerating hard...I get this high pitched sound....It sounds kind of rotational....Goes away if I let off gas pedal....you can feel it vibrating the truck......I thought maybe drive shaft, but it goes away when I let off the pedal...trans shift fine....truck runs great...maybe this is normal.

it may be your engine running faster.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

It sounds normal... Give 'er gas, the engine will be under more stress, make noises, cause vibration. things are moving faster.

Sounds like maybe an engine driven accesory might be failing, like a alternator bearing, water pump bearing, ps bearing, ect.

In my mustang my alternator makes the highest pich squeel loud enough to hurt your ears when you goose the throttle.

Pop your hood and rev it up in Nutrual and give it a listen.

My 0.02.

If it were engine sound I would think it would be constant...only during hard accel....and not a belt...only does it while driving...
