Dunno if this is the right forum but here it goes...


OK, so my driver side tumbler won't let me turn the key. It has been on the fritz for a while, not letting me lock it from the outside but the other night, I couldn't unlock it. I think one of the parts in the tumbler is broken or dislodged. Running around to unlock the vehicle from the passenger side only looks cool when I'm on a date.
Help!
Is there a way to fix this without replacing and having to run new keys? If so, I just need some procedures to remove and replace. I'm handy so not worried about the work, just need some tips.. Thanks Yota gods.

Local locksmith should be able to rebuild it.

Here's a write up I did for mine. After getting the lock out of the door it cost $25 for a locksmith to fix it.

If by black steering wheel, I assume your'e referring to na oem replacement? If so, try your local salvage yards, craigslist.com, car-part.com, ebay & the likes. Even try the classified section here or on other toyota boards.
