Drilling a perfectly good roof .....
Yikes....
... bit the bullet and installed the rear wind deflector (my 93 is about the only 2nd gen I have ever seen without one) last night as I was getting a little fed up with my permamently dirty back window.
The instuctions casually tell you to drill 6 (count em) 11/16" holes right through the roof and the metal plate behind.
Should have taken a pic but looking at 6 11/16's holes in my pristine roof really freaked me out
Anyway, installing the cinch nuts was easy if tedious and the factory deflector is installed and looks just that, factory. Added bonus is it covers up the rear wiper assy and really cleans up the look the truck from the rear.
