As long as you're talking about water-cooled, EFI motorcycle engines, then yeah, it'll work.

Modern, 4-Stroke EFI engines, controlled by an ECM (ECU) all function basically the same way.

The only thing you'll need to figure out is the resistance curve of the ECT Thermistor for the engine in question, which will determine the required resistance change or value.

Hope this helps.

Ok...to all 2000 Runners.

I finally did the ECT mod this past weekend....yeah.

The wire to cut will be different than in Dr. Z's write-up. Maybe because he has a 5spd??
Anyway...below is a pic of the wire (Green one I seperated in the center)I ended up splicing into. On the ECT connector...the ECT side had a Green and Brown wire. On the harness side were a Green and Blue w/ Black stripe wire. I put an ohm meter on the Green wire and in the pic is where I found it on the ECU.

Alittle bit peepier. Still have slight ping though. I know that has to do with the ˟˟˟˟˟ 91 octane around AZ.

There is a 76 by the autoplex, and I think one on Bell and 56th that has 93 oct. I would have to verify that though.
