I can't seem to get the handle undone so that I can remove my driver side door panel. The handle is the only thing holding it on there. I already removed the screw under the handle but it still won't budge.

Please tell me how to undo it.

it slides forward and then just pops out

 

Slide/push the entire door handle mechanism/bracket toward the front of the vehicle, and it will pop out of its slot. Then, the rest should be straightforward.

 

I was able to get to the connector with the door hand still on. But I will take it off to make things easier.
