Just to let all you '03 Runner owners know, I got the patterns made for our rigs and the shades are now being sold over at AutoSunShields.com
These are nicer than regular sun shields because the windshield part comes in two pieces, and you can get them for your front side windows too.

How small are they when you collapse them for storage? The (cheap) ones I have fit easily into the side door pocket, so they are really convenient, and I'd hope that these are about as small.

 

No, they will not fit in your side pockets. These cover your entire windshield perfectly though. They do have a bag however, to fold them up and put in. Unless I go on a long trip, or carry people, I just throw them in the backseat.

I've used them quite a bit since I first posted this thread. When I get in after it has sat outside all day, it feels like I have been parked in the garage. They are nice.

 

does the color make a difference on reflection? would silver deflect the most sun?
