Why would you want to hold of replacing a timing belt?

If you have to ask if its an interference engine, and you want to hold of replacing the timing belt, perhaps this vehicle is not for you. If you do not have the money to maintain/repair a vehicle, don't buy it!

Really, not a good idea. I wouldn't push the envelope on the timing belt.
