do i need to change my shocks?

if i lift my truck 3 inches can i use my same shocks for now its a 83 2wd

doubtful, but you can get these cheap shock extensions from autozone... they just screw in on top of the shock.. gives you about another inch or 2. Should be good for a Temp.

With that much lift, you need new shocks
