Shorter version of an earlier post.
Basically, took caliper apart, popped out cylinders and reinstalled, pushed cylinders all the way in, then reinstalled on vehicle.

I seem to have a problem with them actually working,just wondering if it could be excessive air in the far side which is not bleeding out.

Suggestions?

I do have a new MC I was going to put in tonight (maybe the original is bad)

 

You should be able to fill the caliper with brake fluid simply by gravity bleeding it. Just make sure that the MC is full of fluid, then open the bleeder with a pan or something under it to catch the fluid. with the cap off the MC, don't touch the pedal, just let it sit with the bleeder open for a few minutes. Pretty soon fluid will start dripping into your pan.

After that, you can bleed them normally.

 

What year/model?

Did you bleed EVERYTHING?

Yep bleed everything.. had the caliper off a couple of times. .the last time I made sure the cylinders were completely pushed back. Seemed to bleed fine after that. I suppose the first 2 times I didn't have the cylinders all the way in and there was a little air in there.

All good now.. bleed and working.
