Do i have a susp lift?

Hi all!!

I have a 96 runner. i bought it recently from the east coast. It came with a 2" BL, but not sure about suspension lift. I have examined it, but there is a lot of rust on my springs. there are no coil spacers, i have OME shocks and the stock rear cones. runnin 33's and 15' rims. I read on one of my searches about measuring from the well lip to the rim. not sure if this will work, but i dont know stock measurement anyway. the tires barely rub the plastick liner on the firewall side. any help would be gretly appreciated!!!

here are some pix, sorry bout the poor quality (cam phone quickies)

thanx

Hard to tell, but those coils look like the beefier OME front coils.

That is higher than just a 2" BL. Looks like a suspension lift to me...

If you want to know for sure if it has suspension lift look at the upper a-arm. If it is level or above the upper strut bracket, there is no lift, if the arm is lower than the upper strut bracket, you have lift.

That is the easiest place to tell.

I can barely make it out, but it looks like those aren't stock springs either....I vote for a suspension lift too.

you have a 2-ish inch suspension lift for sure with as much fender clearance as you have with 33's.

my guess would be OME 891's in the rear and OME 881's (not 882's - it would be higher w/o a winch) up front.

it rides stiff as hell, doesn't it?

The fogs in the TJM look familiar. Is that Jonathon's old 4Runner? (did he even sell?)

I've certainly seen it on here before.

But yes, it's lifted.

no, i think that is jacksonpt's old rig... wow, if so, it's a LONG way from home...

that would also explain the RUST (upstate NY)

[edit]

Weird, I didnt know he sold his rig. Looks like he took some stuff off before he sold it...

There's a lot done to that truck though Trixter...pretty sweet.

Only thing is that it has 3.90 gears I believe?

Check it out, a whole website dedicated to your truck already Trixter:

it has 3.90's and it's had (and may still have) quite a few issues. that's why he traded it in. he was having issues with it all the time for a while it seems like. hopefully the dealer took care of them before selling it to you.

here's the website: http://www.trailaddict.com/start.php

ding ding ding! what do i win?
OME HD springs - OME 881 (front) and OME 891 (rear)
OME HD shocks - OME N91S (front) and OME N86 (rear)

Ouch. Nothing like busting the bubble of a new auto purchase. Truth hurts... but better to know than not.
