Disable DRLs on 3rd Gen.

How do you disable your Daytime Running Lights on a 3rd Gen. 4runner? I know they don't come on if your e-bake is on. Is there some way to trick the system through that? Any info would be great.

This is the only other way I know of.

Thanks for the information. I just did it and it took 1 min. I didn't think it would be that easy to do.

Just uplug (grey plug) the resistor next to the battery (small vented box between the batt and fender). That'll work on an '00

Ditto. The plug is to the contraption bolted to the inside driver's side fender by the battery in the '00. The TSB DOES apply to the '00, but it's a lot more trouble than simply unpluging a connector, plus, disabling via the connector is easily reversible. I keep mine plugged in, but I'll unplug it for the drive-in theater, campground, etc., when you don't want your DRL's operable at night.
