Deckplate mod for second gen?

I havent seen one of these done. After taking a look at the air filter box it looks like it would be REALLY hard to get one in there, if not impossible

does anybody know of a deckplate mod that's been done on a second gen?

Thanks

I don't think it's posible. Not any uninterrupted flat surfaces for the size you'd need for a deckplate hole.

My deckplate mod is a K&N FIPK.

i just grabbed a second one at the wrecker for five or ten and cut the bottom off of it. I can put the old one back in if I go mudding or near water.

There isn't that much room between the air box and the fender, and the deckplate would only be 2 or 2.5 inches across due to the angle in the bottom for the fender.
