Question Daughter's 4Runner dead

I have two '99 Runners w/ 2.7L 4s in them. For the second time , my daughter's has no electrical power at all this morning. It happened to her last week and I went and jumped it off. It came up and started normally. Took it home, cleaned the cables, took it to Advance Auto Parts and had the Bat checked. No further trouble til this morning. Same story, completely dead, no lights. Battery is nearly new as are cables.

Are there any relays or other questionable items common to Runners to check?

Sure the battery doesnt have a bad cell in it. I do roadside AAA battery service for a living and often a problem like this is related to one of the cells in the battery going bad. It works one day, checks out fine and the next nada.

Otherwise the alternator isnt charging it properly or you have a drain somewhere.

I highly suggest you take it to another place to have it checked.

I had the same problem with mine as well, but I had them rewire the connection to the battery from the computer and alternator and that solved my problem. It was weird, needless to say I'm also looking into an alternator. However, this was last winter and since the rewiring, I haven't had the problem so maybe it was indeed a wiring issue.
