Yep as bob said theres a pretty good write up in the tech section except if I remeber corectly, its for a 97 and I'm not sure about your 02 but my 98 I also had to take out the piece around the e-brake and also the piece around the 4wd and shift levers.

Hmm I coulda sworn that on mine I had to pry up the piece around the ebrake to get at some screws to take out the piece arouind teh levers but in slc's writeup he just pulls the piece around the lever stright out without touching the ebrake piece. Oh well, maybe I just did an extra step so no biggie.

henry,

you can pop the piece around the shifters out w/out undoing the screws. however, getting it back in is more difficult w/out removing the screws.

cooler -

if you are looking for the screws around the ebrake, look in the center arm box. there should be 1-2 screws on the bottom. take 'em out and you can pry up the area around the shifter, then continue to pop out the dash elsewhere.

i think the other screw(s) are under the ashtray (pain to get to).

i have an '02 and it took a bit to find out how since there's no exact writeup. hope this helps!
