cyl 2 misfire. help

I just bought my 96 Yota 2.7 last week,126 K miles. having problems already. Check engine light came on right after crossing rail road tracks. don't know if that has anything to do with the light coming on. code scanner says misfire cyl 2.
I cleared code and replaced plugs, wires, cap and rotor. still runs terriblle. and light came back on.
Anyone else have this problem ?

4 cyl tacos are notorious for tight valves. I would check my clearances first. If that is ok, I would start looking at injectors

Problem Solved

After replacing cap, rotor, plugs, wires and running 2 cans of SeaFoam thru intake. it still runs bad, hesitation, stumble. I did a compression test, have 130-150 in all cylinders. I noticed a strong odor of fuel. I had all plugs out while doing test. next thing I did was remove fuel injectors and had them professionally cleaned. never had that done before. was told there is a screen inside injector, I saw mine, looked the the end of a "Q Tip" all fuzzy. couldn"t actually see the screen, and was showed what it should look like. BIG Difference. Then he put injector in machine with liquid. should've seen the filth that came out. Then all injectors were flow tested. Was told one was Really,Really BAD, he ran that injector thru machine 3 times. that was probably the one that fueled cyl #2. Anyway I reinstalled injectors. "WHAT A DIFFERENCE" Runs so smooth, no hesitation at all. Was charged $10.00 per injector. Hopes this helps someone.

Not surprised at all because alot of these misfires now will start showing up due to injector failure as these trucks get more and more mileage put on them. Glad you got it fixed and thanks for letting everyone know what the actual issue was.
