Angry crappy alarm for 93 4runner

does anybody know if the alarm can be removed while still being able to use the remote to unlock and lock the doors? If not how do you remove the alarm, I live in northern MN and have no worries about it getting ripped off. And it really bugs the hell out of me. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.....Have a good one.........

The alarm is how the remote communicates with the car so no remote doorlocks if you take it out. Sorry, I have no experience with 2nd gen alarms besides that knowledge (location, wiring, etc. )

If you hit your valet switch, the alarm will not arm, but you still have full function of your remote.

Your valet switch is likely on your drivers side kick panel. Friend of mine's was behind his alarm's LED.

Thats odd, because on my 2 aftermarket and 1 factory alarm i've had, the valet switch prevents the alarm from arming.

When my remote went out on my silencer alarm, and I locked the doors by hand, the system would arm, and when I would use the key to unlock it, it would go off.
So I hit the valet switch, my LED turned solid, and my alarm didn't arm or go off.
