Improtant!!!
CHRIS1 I am positive that this engine that they are replacing it with is a low mileage engine and you will need to make sure that this includes a new timing chain and guides water pump and thermostat and Synthetic oil!!!
the first could simply have started from thermostat or the water pump or the timing chain issue!!! so avoid all of these this time by replacing all up front like any used engine dealer who provides a warranty will tell you to do and go Synthetic for longer performance of oil and engine!!
Yes the oil is like 3 times more however it lasts 2-3 times longer and the engine lasts much longer!!
On top of all of this follow regular maintenance rules set by toyota in the future especially because he is so delinquent in regards to his engine this is why they came up with the regular maintenance!!
