With a mid engine design and no frame you would be better as everyone here said and either buy the all trac version, or get a donor truck and mate the Previa body to that frame. There may be options available to you but we have no idea what engine is in the van your trying to mod, or anything else about it. Some may know but this isn't an easy thing to do, so probably no one has done it. Can it be done? Sure if you got the money and knowledge we'll get you to the moon. The trans may even except gears from another trans. To add a transfer case you're probably going to have to add a solid front axle and without a frame it would be impossible or near it anyways. dropping the body on a donor frame is the easiest as suggested. Just don't get pissy cause we, like you, have little or no info on what the hell it is you want to do.
actually if I changed the transmission to the supercharged all trac Previa transmission, several transfer cases would fit, from a 1998 4runner,90-94 Pickup,95-98 Tacoma,93-98 T-100,2001 Sequoia, still useless cause?

Blue-

You know on Monster Garage when they add up the build tally at the end? Yeah, well that is what most of us are thinking of. They are often in the 10's of thousands in cost just for the parts, and that doesn't include labor. So I think most of us are just trying to give you a reality check. Seriously, if you have that kind of money then by all means go for it. But don't get defensive because we respond in a realistic fashion to one of your first threads ever, which contains a very lofty goal.

Stick around man. Yotatech is MELLOW compared to PBB. But you can try posting over there if you like.

Well, assuming that tranny bolts up to your motor and the wiring stuff works out all right, what's your plan for the front?

ok, i'll soften up.

the previa engine _should_ mate to a toyota W56 truck transmission.

beyond that i don't know. you'd have to get creative to route your drivelines etc since it's a mid engine vehicle

What's this "no help whatsoever" thing? Lots of help available here, you just have to ask questions that have answers... Like when that guy asked how to change a spare tire - eventually SOMEONE who actually knew how chimed in with a useful answer, more than one actually... no help.. sheeesh... bonehead...

If you know the answer to your own question then what the hell are you asking us for ? And replying that no one will help you and calling us all morons is gonna get you nowhere fast.

And for the record I said anything could be done if you got the money. Useless cause? Yes cause only a moron would undertake this idea when there are so many other options. I also said it could possibly be done but when asked you didn't even know what trans you had. Go ahead and do the swap, then tell us all about it.

Gee, I might just have to join that forum to bash 'em.

He claims he wants low range. Probably needs it to pull his head out of his ...

Van with a unibody, big open cabin, and a less-than-rigid floorpan mated to stump pulling low range. That's a GREAT idea...

This thread is like a car wreck, I can't stop looking at it.

Really was funny - you go back and look, no one called him an idiot, everyone tried to be somewhat supportive yet nudge him toward reality but he got pissed anyway. These kids today, just want everything given to them.... OH GOD I SOUND JUST LIKE MY DAD!

No response to the tranny model cause no one here has heard of it. Now start talking A340F or any of its iterations, and you have a chance of "assembling" a workable solution. I think to do what you are looking for will require alot of fabrication.

Have you thought of just regearing the differential and adding a locker?

I am confused, your sig says you have a SC all-trac. But then you say that you could put a sc tranny in it.. So what do you have?
