If you search for "soft top" you will find some good information on them and where to purchase one.

Prior to my 4Runner I owned an '86 Bronco that I bought from a friend who had bought it new. He had put a Kayline soft top on it every summer since '86, and when it moved south with me the soft top stayed on year-round. I sold it in '98, the top was 12 years old and still worked and looked great. I know a friend of his had one for his 1st gen 4Runner from Kayline, too. Probably worth a look see.

Here's the Kayline(now STC) top installed on my old 87 turbo 4Runner. I wish I had kept the top now instead of selling it. But they sell for $517 plus shipping($45). I was trying to put together a group purchase which would have gotten free shipping at least, but not enough response. I just bought a boat yesterday so I have no cash at the moment until I sell my other boat. Here's my boat if anyone is interested. 1992 Boston Whaler Rage jet boat with a Yamaha 650 engine modified with Pro-Tec parts. Runs like a champ and only needs 6" of water.
