Compression readings-good or bad
I did a compression test on my 91 v6 and the results are 177, 177, 172, 177, 177, 177. I did this test because thats what everybody said to do first. My 91 dies when the weather gets warm. It dies when I stop at redlights or cut it off, wait 10 min and start it; it will die 5 secs. later. Im going to look into the fuel pump next. I have already changed the fuel filter.

As long as it doesn't have a 14 psi varience it's fine those are great #'s concidering it's supposed to be 172 psi according to the chiltons manual.
Are those compression #'s cold or warm #'s? because you have to do both to determine if it is a ring issue.
Here are some things to check:
Check the fuel rails or lines for leaks also have you tuned it up or anything lately?
Air problem like somewhere in the intake or the air intake hoses or a fuel issue like possibly bad injectors?
Have you done a fuel pressure check yet? That will rule out bad fuel pump.
Also pull your distributor check the cap and rotor and check the rotor shaft for play if there is any replace the distributor.
Goodluck

when the truck stalls what does it sound like when you try to start it??? I have seen the fuel system vapor lock in warm weather. My buddy truck had a bad cat once it warm up the truck would stall and it would take 10 min to restart.
