coilovers comparison??

I'm in need of replacement on my suspension front/rear, and have been looking into swapping the stock front setup for a Swayaway, Camburg or Icon coilover, rather than the typical spring-shock combo. My question is how do these coilovers ride compared too stock setups. I'm not wanting much lift, maybe 1.5" at most, but like the idea of having a beefier setup as i drive a lot of fire-dirt roads for work. Also how do these Bilstein 5125's adjustable shock/spring combo rate vs. the above mentioned brands? this will be going on a 4runner as well.. thanks

I have had Swayaways and now Icons and both were great....it is a little more stiffer on road with little bumps but you can not beat it the faster you go on those dirt roads....I would not trade my in for anything...love them and they are all pretty much close to the same. I prefer the ICONS as a preference.

I was trying to find a page today that compared the price and performance of various coilovers unsuccessfully.

I'd be interested to see how Camburg, King, Fox, Bilstein, Sway-Away, Donahoes, etc. all line up.

Well you can start by SEARCHING. Theres a thousand or more answers and opinions both here and all over the web that pertain to your questions. Every brand mentioned above is "good".

If your wanting lift while keeping the same factory feel ride then have a look at ToyTec coilovers, as they are available in three different spring rates to suit your needs... http://www.toyteclifts.com/96024runn...rfrontliftopts

Coil over comparison done in 2004, very informative but some things have since changed...
