So Ive gone through a lot of the maintanence on my truck. New Exhaust, cat and o2's. I just did new plugs and coil packs because I was having problems with rough starts and low idles. Ive seafoamed. Im about to do the fuel filter. But I can smell the coil packs still and its been 5 days since I changed them. Still getting a misfire on cyl 1. po301. I dont understand whats going on with it. Thoughtss?

 

Smell coil packs? What do you mean?

 

I can smell a burning or stench of the rubber of the coil packs

 

If you are sure it is teh coils, then looks like you need to replace the bad one or there is a wiring issue that is causing it.

 

I replaced the coil packs in 1 and 3. Im getting injectors for 1 and 3 today as well. Ill get back.

Smell has gone away..

 

Replaced fuel filter. No Smell but I am still throwing the cel. Going to see what the computer says later at lunch.
