i got the code when up in the hills and it came out code 5-2 knock sensor signal

does this mean my engine has developed knock or that the sensor is bad or theres a bad wire?

i can hear a knock type sound in 1st and 2nd but its been that way for a while and the engine light just came on

 

anybody got any help for me

 

I got the same code after my lifters started making alot of noise. I wonder if I can make the lifter noise go away, the light will stay out? Did you clean the connection? I'm going to try that today but it's really hard to get at on the V6.
