Code 420 Help!

I have 1997 Tacoma Base Cab 4x4 (4 cyl.). I keep having a code 420. I have replaced all four fuel injectors the o2 sensor and the cataletic converter 3 times. When I start my truck, it shakes for about a min. or two. It feels like it is lacking something, no one seems to know. Any suggestions on the issue?

Need to scope and compare the sub1 and sub2 on a split screen meter for the code...

the drivability problem is probably what's killing your cats...so you need to get that taken care of and then either replace cats again or get one of these:

and not wory about the code/cats anymore...unless at some point they clog...will happen if the drivability issue does not get resolved...

420 is the "Bob Marley" engine code.

It means your engine is stoned.

you did NOT replace the 02 sensors and cat 3 times. if you had that kind of loot,
you'd have gone to the dealer and got the job done first time.

anyhow if you did all this then it might be the ecu

You might check your MAF sensor.

I had that code, but after I replaced my o2 and A/F sensor, it cleared that code and popped a fuel system lean code and my MAF had bit the dust.
