Was yours an auto or 5 speed? Was there any issues you came across while doing it? I'm getting ready to change mine and would like to do it within 3 days.

It was a 5-speed.
There was a lot of issues with mine but i put headers on and had to fab a temp exahust for it.
Make sure the differences in the engines before you start. min i had to use the wire harness from what was in my truck already. there are different types of plugs depending on year and tranny..ETC. make sure the distributors, coil, wires are the same. Check and see if injectors are the same. just do a good once through on comparing all points of connection and if you have any conflict with the 2. If you pm me witha nyspecific Q's. I can help you out.

Yeh mine is an auto and I'm getting a remanufactured motor so I will be swapping everything relating to wiring harness plugs to the new motor. Just heard as long as I have a tranny jack to hold the tranny up while the motor is out. I think my biggest thing is labeling all the vacuum wires and harnesses while I take it out. Glad to hear yours was a success! I'm also thinking about stepping up to headers. which brand did you get?

Yeah then just label and all that stuff and you should be good.
For the tranny you can use the cross member to hold it up after you get it out and swap all parts so you don't have the tranny resting on the jack.
The headers we a gift from a friend and don't know what brand. But i am running NWOR on my 4 banger and love them.
