Clutch replacement
Clutch is going out after forever, which brand does everyone like? Center force dual friction ? Autozone special etc. 4 runner is running 285’s with stock gears, 5 speed. Hunting and fishing rig.

I'm using this kit and like it: https://www.marlincrawler.com/clutch...-lb-clutch-kit
But... "OUT OF STOCK".
But... "OUT OF STOCK".

I had a centerforce once and didn't have good luck with it, but it could have been my installation...
I'd say go with OEM, OEM-equivalent, or Marlin. I definitely get the desire to upgrade, but I'm always surprised when people say 'my Toyota clutch finally died after 300,000 miles, which heavier-duty aftermarket clutch should I upgrade to?'...
I think the results are in...OEM is as a good as 99% of us need!
If you're doing hard-core rock crawling, or you just love Marlin and his products, that's cool and I get it. But otherwise, there's no need to "upgrade". You can buy an OEM equivalent to save money, but there's no reason to go searching for something "better" than OEM. My experience is 298,000 miles on the original clutch, and I've been towing a 3,000 lb trailer quite a bit each summer for the last 5 years. Still going strong...
My opinion.
