read about this looking for parts, what is it? and will it actually work? what exactly will it do? would you recommend me getting it?

According to the description, they're made for cable operated manual trannies. Toys w/ manual trannies are hydraulic and adjusting the pedal free play on 'em is pretty simple. If you want to shorten the shift throws on your tranny, get a Marlin short throw shifter. Got one on my truck and love it.
