I think I might be able to take a stock 5-speed... but yours, not so much

...but if Mark's driving, all bets are off.

I had a 5.0 Mustang that I raced with lights and clock at a drag strip and I could only do 14.9 sec. at 95 mph......

Best is to not worry about it. 0-60 in a 4Runner isn't going to be impressive so it's not really worth trying to measure accurately anyway.

Mine was about 7.6

Had a friend in there with me too, he was doing the stop watch and watching my speedo. As i was paying attention to the road.

Awesome avatar. Go Bubbles!!

Just to be on topic, with a G-tech we clocked a friend's 2000 limited at around 11s 0-60. Of course it's pretty much pointless since 4runners aren't made for speed.

I ran mine at the strip last year and hit high 18s/low 19s and this was at 5800ft asl. Probably a full second quicker down at sea level.

And the deckplate "power" won't show up in acceleration times.

Yes,it's slow and I miss my Viper beating AWD Eclipse which was a low 13 second car up here.

Who really cares about 0-60 times in a 4Runner?

As long as I can jam the pedal to the floor and merge into oncoming traffic that is going 75mph in the slow lane, I am happy.

I tend to pretend i have a manual tranny and shift through all the gear on my own, I don't shift till it reaches just before redline.
(don't worry, tranny fluid still good, so haven't hurt the tranny yet.... and if I do... Here comes the 5 speed )

Just so I can randomly be off topic too, I had my 95 Mazda Mx6, it ran 14.86 at 99 mph in the 1/4 mile.

And now back on topic - I've never run my Taco, and don't care to.
