The lights behind the dials for my climate control are on the blink. Usually they don't work, but since sometimes they do it looks like I've got a loose connection somewhere. Problem is, I can't figure out how to get at the wiring without taking the entire dash out. Any advice?

 

could be just the bulbs and not the wiring. my 99 just lost its last climate control light. but it comes on once in awhile when the filament gets bounced around.

 

That'd be nice, since I'm not sure how to track down a bad connection except by giggling. Still, how do you get to the bulbs without taking the entire dash out?

man, usually, when I laugh at my car...it breaks even more. The bulbs are expensive, so prepare to bend over, and bring your own lube.

its for a 4runner but im sure its pretty close.

the same thing happened on my 4runner and it was the small bulbs in the back.
