clear corner question

Does anyone have or can anyone take a night picture of a set of clear corners that have amber bulbs inside. I have seen the clear corners w/ plain white bubls, and i don't like the look of it. If anyone has amber colored bulbs in a clear corner housing, could you please send me a picture w/ the lights on to see how they look.

Holy skidplate!

I tried to find amber bulbs, but could only find the double filiment type, which wouldn't work. Where did you find those? Did you re-wire anything?

I have a set of bumper lenses from Jason B (he also sells clear corners) and I must say I am HIGHLY pleased with them. VERY fast shipping and great communication. Go through him and you wont be dissapointed I garuntee it.

He also offered me a set of bulbs of my choice of colors, so I think he may be able to help you. Sorry about the shameless plug...

Steve

amber flash, white look

I've wanted to have the best of both worlds -- clear corners that flash amber.

This first solution still requires a little research.. I had a 2001 Audi A4. The sidemarkers had clear lenses and the bulb was clear, but flashed amber. (Not sure if those were LEDs). Duplicating that setup would be nice...

The second one is almost as effective. Use amber bulbs in your corners, but dust them with a light coat of airbrush paint. Use whatever color you like. Silver maintains the clear corner look, but you can use whatever color to match your paint, or your vehicle graphics. When cruising around in the daytime, your lights will look clear. When your parking lights are on or your blinker is activated, the light will flash AMBER.

The only reason I went with clear corners is because I needed to relocate my turn signals to the side marker lights (since their former location was no longer there - the lower bumper). So I went about modifying the side markers to accomodate the turn signals, and accidentally broke one of them. Hence, the clear corners...

So, anyway, if you are turning them into combo side marker and turn signals, then the amber bulbs provided with the lenses will not do much good. To see this mod, go to this write-up

Bulb Paint ....

I know nothing about the quality of this product, but others have used it with success.
