Cigarette lighter question

Is there any easy ways of switching the cig lighters to be powered with the key off (short of running a jumper from the battery)? My wife needs to charge her cell phone when she's in at work.

Okay, my paranoid wife wants to know why the Yota doesn't have power to the plug ins with the key off (she's scared it's gonna tear up now). So if anyone has a clue, please let me know.

It's to prevent inadvertent battery draindown if you accidentally forget something plugged in for long time with the car not running.
