well i know for a fact all the standard services at the dealer suggested intervals, he told me as long as nothing needed to be warrenteed, he could get money back once the warrentee expired. So all the records are at toyota, i have reason to believe that is 100% true, he was at work and told me to come by to check it out, he handed me the keys to it and said have it back in 40 min.

Can anyone else confirm that the 4wd shifter vibrates like a cell phone while driving?

Yes the vibrating 4wd shifter is normal as you describe it, just a slight buzz/vibration if you put your hand on it. Every 4wd Toyota I've owned does this, and I've had 5. And it happens in 2wd or 4wd.

I'll second that. My 4WD shifter vibrates slightly more than the auto shifter lever, it always has.

Make sure ALL the functions work. I check everything from 4WD to side view mirrors.

Mine does. I like it. I'd guess that is it the friction from the driveshaft moving up and going through the handle...

Did you get the truck?

I've got an 02 4x4 Tacoma with 75K on the clock, when I purchased it the clutch was bad so the dealer replaced the clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, throughout bearing, and pilot bearing and I still have a little vibration but it's nothing compared to what it used to be.
Post some picts when/if you get the truck.

Mine does the same thing. It's normal.

By the way, could you update us on whether or not you bought the vehicle? Also, how much was the final price?
