Checking O2 sensors

Is there anyway to check a sensor with a voltage meter or anything to check the viability of a O2 sensor?
thanx

On what type of vehicle?

I just replace my O2 sensor and I know may Haynes Manual told me how to check the voltage readings.

So it is possible - but I'm sure the proceedure / readings vary depending on what type of O2 sensor you're checking.

Yes.

Get the FSM and use a multimeter as instructed.
