Check these Out...Rear taillight question
I found these the other day and I would like to install a pair to get rid of that bright orange look in my rear taillights...

I really don't like the Euro style tails, and I think this would satisfy me. My question is about the bulb size. I believe that the stock size is 7440, but these only come in size 7443. Is there any difference other than single filament (7440) and dual filament (7443)? Also, what in the world is the column "Twist" referring to on the Autobarn application guide? Thanks guys. Later.

Just put clear OEM bulbs in there, thats what I have on my clear tails. I was going to buy a set of orange 7440 bulbs but I didn't want the orange look on my tails.

**Here's what they look like at night. The bulbs are so red at night, that you wouldn't be able to tell if I had clear tailights or not, unless you were up close or something.

Technically they are illegal. I now sell the frosted all clear tails on my site, but sell them as an offroad use only item. The 4Runner is such a newer looking vehicle you really don't get bothered. I've sold a bunch of the years and noone mentioned any problems.
LSU, you could just spray your orange bulbs silver, and they will only be ornage when you signal.
Check out the write-up on how to do it:
