cheap/good looking rims

Hey guys, I really want to run 285/75/16s and think im going to have to get new rims with less backspacing. I currently have the 16" factory rims and want to get a new set that will fit the 285s. the only catch is that i do not have a lot of $$$. What do you guys suggest. Please show pics or links

thanks

hmm....a lot of people have said they have had problems running them on a 3rd gen with stock wheels. I plan on getting a 1" RB BL so rubbing the body isnt quite an issue. more with the A-arms

You could try to find a set of Land cruiser wheels/lx450. I have seen them going for 300-400 a set.
Another option, not sure if it fits, is the 98-2002 16" LC wheel. They are a double split 5 spoke. They are everywhere and are cheap. PLus, I have never seen a 4r with them.

the 98+ LC wheels are 5-lug and NOT 6-lug like the 80/LX wheels that I have...

The wheels that I have are 16"X8" with 4.25" BS. Stock is 16"X7" with 4.375" BS. The steelies are 16"X8" with 4.50" BS.

Here's a pic of brian's rig w/ the steelies and 285 MT/R's...

Here's mine w/ Brian's black steelies before I traded them for my LX wheels:

And here's a blurry one of my LX Wheels w/ the same MT/R's:

Here are the black steel rims that they could not balance (hubcentric vs. lugcentric):

After returning the rims for a full refund after months of aggravation, I just painted the stockers black:

I understand you are looking for different backspacing, but you asked for 4Runners with black rims, so you got 'em!

1998+ for LCs are 5 on 5.5, not 6 on 5.5. They won't work. You need 1997-
