Chassis Grease Questions
#1
Is it really necessary to use two different kinds of chassis grease? I know that this is what Toyota recommends. I'm getting ready to lube my chassis and was wondering if it was really necessary to buy two seperate grease guns or if I could just use whatever kind of grease I wanted.
Is greasing the steering knuckle necessary? It's not in my owners manual but it is in the Haynes manual. Should I just let the dealer do it or not even bother with it? In 4WD I tend to hear noises in the front end and am not sure what all I need to grease.
Thanks for the help.

I use synthetic grease. I have used amsoil sythetic and valvoline synthetic. I use synthetic because of greater wear resistance and better resistance to washout from water. I know it costs more, but I'd rather grease it than replace it.
