1. Which is the perfered lube?

3. I installed a oil filter relocatioin kit, was there any benifit to that besides an extra qt. of oil???
1. I use Costal full synthetic because its cheapest.
2. In my oppinion that's a myth. If you swithch back you just have to change it more often.
3. Typically it makes it easier to reach the filter and makes it less messy to change because you don't spill as much.

If your looking for the 'grip' find some grip tape at a hardware store. The stock it to make steps less slippery. Before you install the next filter, wrap a piece around the filter, it has an adhesive back. Now you have an oem filter with the grip of fram, IMO the only valuble part from this brand.

I started doing this a while ago after I learned about the lower quality design and construction if the Fram Sure Grip end. I use Purolator filters and add grip tape to help get it off when its time.
