CD-2 Availability
#21
Guys,
I bought mine at Autozone but they didn't have the CD2 two-pack like Jason posted. I bought Autozone's generic brand degreaser.
In regards to covering up, I just covered up my aux fuse box (not stock) and the fuse running to it. Other than that, I didn't drench the engine w/ water or spray.
First, I warmed up the engine for a few minutes. It was warm to the touch. Then I put the nozzle on a fine mist and sprayed down the engine with water. Then I sprayed the engine compartment with the degreaser---about 1/2 the can. I let it sit for about 20 minutes. Then I cleaned off the excess w/ water.
I also used Simple Green and a toothbrush to get into those hard to reach spots. I then sprayed it down again.
I finished with the CD2 finishing spray. Here are the results:
Like Trangk, I avoided spraying the degreaser/water directly onto the belts, alternator and MAF.
Oh yeah, if you've done the deckplate mod, screw the cover on!
