CD-2 Availability

Anyone else having problems finding the CD-2 engine detailing spray? I tried 3 target stores and nothing. Target was the only store I have been able to find that carries that stuff.

Just a suggestion...a lot of people recommend that non-toxic stuff. I don't quite remember the name of it...something like Clean Green, Super Green, something - Green.

Anyway, they say that stuff works like a champ (and it's safe for the enviro). I'll try and remember the name of it...

Unhappy CD-2 HIDES!

CD-2 HIDES FROM US. I saw a tire cleaner by CD-2 and a fuel system cleaner by CD-2 at Wal-Mart, but the engine degreaser and cleaner elude me still! Simple Green is the environmentally safe stuff. It works wonders, smells like licorice, and will definately be at Wal-Mart in the automotive section. CD-2 gives your engine a shine and protectant layer too I believe. "CD...CD-2..., where are you, we all really want to find you!"

I found some at an O'Reilly's autoparts store. It was the last one too. This stuff makes your engine look great. Make sure you cover up your electrical stuff with plastic bags.

Vtruong1:

Neither link works? I tried the Before link, and it worked. You can see the After pic once you get there. This is the 1st time I have tried to post a link. I couldnt figure out how to post a pic.

It's called " Simple Green". I've used it a lot on my rig and on the Navy ship I'm on. It removes all the oil sheen and it's also environmentally degradable. You can buy it any grocery store.

Thumbs up

I've been able to find the CD-2 Detailer at AutoZone, PepBoys, Advanced Auto Parts, and even Walmart. However, I can't find the CD-2 engine degreaser ANYWHERE. To clean the engine, I just use STP Heavy Duty Degreaser (available at AutoZone and other auto parts store for ~$2.00). It's a foamy degreaser and works really well. Wish I could try the CD-2 degreaser though, since the detailer is awesome.

got a question with the degreaser you used.....did you have to cover anything up with it? or did you just spray it pretty much all over? then you just hose it off? thanks

I didn't cover anything up, but did avoid spraying the degreaser/water directly onto the belts, alternator, fuse box, and MAF. I sprayed liberal amounts of the degreaser (used an entire can ) everywhere else tho.
