CB install Midland
Installed a Midland 79-290 with Wilson 1000 mag mount.
pros: AM SSB (expandable shhh), 10 weather ch, compact size, full of features, *detachable face
cons: no PA out, price over $120
Except for a small gap due to it's width it fits fine under the radio. I will fill the gap later. I needed a little more radio than the stock AM Cobra's and I am very happy with this radio. The only mod I had to do was drill some holes in the radio support bracket and add a spacer to one side of the CB

I do use search and thanks for the picture.
337 folks looked in over 5 years and no one said a thing!
My Midland unit is getting installed in same position-under the radio but is a smaller 1001z
unit.
