Worked great for about 65,000 miles, then the planetary gear "went" again. I posted it up on UY. I think heat may have killed it this time.
It was the full rebuild, so I think around $2700-$2800.

I am guessing heat. I only ran Amsoil sythetic. I remember the last time I drained the fluid it was red and still clean. After the transmission problems the fluid color was a very dark metallic purple.
Instead of getting this one rebuilt, I got a reman one from an 04 core. These ones according to my tranny guy should have the "fix." So hopefully no more planetary gear problems.
I have a 3year/100,000 mile warranty on this one and I hope I don't have to use it.
I think I cooked it while offroading at Big Bear. I did Gold Mtn + John Bull back to back with 5 people in the car. I remember smelling burnt fluid on John Bull.
