Cat Replacement

You can look into aftermarket cat's since originals are expensive and junk yards won't sell you a used one. Unlike stock engines which need a little back pressure, forced induction motors love an open exhaust.

any muffler shop may be able to sell you one shop around a little, i got lucky on mine and someone gave me a free on that didnt fit so i cut the flanged off the old and welded them on. toyota cats are the new thing to steal here in my area lately so good luck, hopefully it will stay with your truck when you get one, and recycle the old one dont throw it away unless they ask for a core of course.

Check out downey off road for some suggestions on CAT and muffler replacements. I had the same problem with the CAT being right on the edge and just did them both at the same time.

BE careful that the one you get will not trip your Check engine light. The computer is very picky about that since it measures before and after the cats (there are 2 of them for a cali spec model FYI)
