OK.......so I go out and buy a nice new (new to me) 4Runner. First trip with the dogs in the back, one of them pukes on the carpet:mad:

Now I have decided that I need to get a cargo liner for the back, but can't decide which one to buy. I asked about them at the Toyota dealership, and they want about $90 for one. I thought that was a HIGH price until I started looking around at the other brands. I got a nice cargo liner for my wife's Grand Cherokee at the Jeep dealer for $65, but the Husky liners and Weathertech liners cost even more than the Toyota!

Anyone know if one is actually better than another? Is the Toyota liner the best way to go as far as color and fit? help??

 

I haven't seen the Toyota cargo liner, so the only comment I'll make is that if it's from Toyota, it'll probably be the best fit. I have Husky Liners in the front, rear, and cargo area. They've performed fine for me over the past 4 years and the fit is fairly good. Some people have had some issues with the driver's side mat getting in the way of the accelerator, but I've never heard any complaints about the cargo mat. It's a near perfect fit when the rear seats are in the upright position and the two inch lip around the mat prevents stuff from spilling out.

The Husky's as a set would be more than the prices you mentioned. Individually, the rear cargo liner is $70 or somewhere around there. Should you go with the Husky, most of us suggest ordering from Cabelas. I like the lips of the Husky's. Like Matt said, they keep everything on the inside.

 

Ditto on huskies, and ditto on Cabelas. I LOVE Cabelas. I was about to get liners from them till I got a used set from a fellow Yotatecher.

If you are looking for a liner with a lip, the Husky is good and so is the dressier Catch-All cargo liner. I also love the Black Armor cargo liner (sold by JCW) that has panels for the seat backs. It is just black plastic panels with no edge lip protection. It just protects the carpet if you are hauling ...

I use the Black Armor panels under the Catch-All liner. Yes, I am very anal. <vbg>

I 2nd, 3rd the motion for Husky Liners and buying it from Cabelas. They are the cheapest. There have been 3 separate instances where, if I did not have the Husky Liners, I would have dog crap, oil and fruit juice all over my interior carpet. If cost is an issue, bite the bullet on this one. Trust me, you'll thank all of us for this advice down the road.

Just thought I would throw another vote in here for Husky's - they are definitely the way to go. You won't be disappointed.

 

call me a bandwagon jumper, but i have huskies and they keep "stuff" in rather well...like dog puke, it'll just slush around in the liner and shouldn't spill out onto the car...so that you can just take it out and hose it down with your dog!!!!!

 

I have been very happy with my Husky cargo liner.

 

I have a Weathertech :eek: that I don't use :pat: My amprack in the back raised the floor about 5 inches so the lip on the liner doesn't exactly contour to anything now... If you want it, lemme know. Just been sitting in the garage for a long time. It's oak in color and I have a 97.

 

Definately go with the Husky from Cabela's. Best price.

 

What year is your rig? I've got one from my 96 that I'm not using anymore. I forget what brand it is, but I can check when I get home. If you're interested I'd be willing to sell it to you. Not sure what it would cost to ship somethign like that though... light, but pretty large, even rolled up.
