Exclamation Can i Re-pin 3.0 wires into 3.4 ECU?

I am starting my 3.4L swap this week and here is the problem

3.4L is from a 2WD auto and my rig is a 4WD 5spd.

So i know i can't hook my 5spd into the ECU but what about pinning my old 4WD wires into the 1997 ECU??? It should just go into the 4WD slots right? including the ADD acuator?

there is a guy over on the toyota diesel site that will do any plugn'play for this. You have to send him both wiring harness for him to do it. I believe it is done by Dr. Tweak or something out of Savanna GA.

Well the 4WD pins are still there, they just dont have the wires connecting them. at least that is what i would think and hopefully what will happen.

What I would do is run as little as possilbe. The only thing the 4wd wires do is maybe change the idle a bit and turn a light on in the dash.

The dash harness has two plugs. same with the engine harness that are supossed to go to the dash. Ide go through the schematics and figure out what both plugs wires are exactly and start splicing the same wires to each other. To do this easy you could get a big plug and pin it so both conected have the right wires going to each other. Then your going to need to give power to the ecu and maybe a few other misc wires to the missing 4th plug on the ECU.

Ide just leave them undone. I dont know what it would do conected or if it matters but if its a 2wd ECU you should just leave all 4wd wires out of it and tied back
