A.C. Trouble

Heres my story, 96 Runner LTD I bought it with some front end damage, long story short I had to repalce the condenser, dryer and one of the lines(this stuff was not there) brought it the the dealer to run some oil through it, clean it out and test for leaks, $170 later im on the road chilling to cold air. Yestreday had to bring it back to the dealer cause 2days later its blowing hot air. They test it and decide its leaking somewhere and put dye in the system to find the leak. I drive it home pop the hood and only place I can see dye is on the compressor right on the seam which is the middle of the unit.
If the compressor is leaking is there a rebuild kit for it, Or is there some sort of quik fix sealer for it, Or am I screwed and gotta buy a new one.

P.S
Just a warning to you guys, the tensioner bolt as well as the one on the alternator where both seized. I can tell you I had quite a few choice words trying to get those out. Keep an eye on them spray some oil every once and a while .

Thanks

I realize that this may be an isolated incedent cause these trucks are still fairly new but Im sure that someone might of had this problem with other older Toyotas.

I don't really think there is much you can do for the compressor at home.

They do make remanufactured units, about 1/2 the price of new ones.

Either way the system will have to be sucked down, [ vaccumed ] out and new oil and refrigerant added.

Best left to a tech with the right A.C. tools needed to do the job.

I don't mean to sound like a smart azz, but I don't work on A.C. myself, I have a buddy of mine do it. He usually gets paid beer for labor, after he doe's the work.
