2000 Camry Blowing 10Amp fuses.

I had the same problem. Without the engine running the inside fan and A/C button worked fine. With the engine running, as soon as I pressed the A/C button, the 10amp fan motor blew. Turned out that the compressor clutch is frozen and has plastic looking epoxy coming out of it .With the compressor unplugged the fuse is good . So now I just need to replace the clutch!

Not sure how long ago you posted this, but I believe the plus you’re looking for is under the power steering pump.

Tips for removing clutch

Hi all - reviving this old thread because I think I am having the same issue as the OP. I am deciding whether or not to tackle removing/replacing the a/c compressor clutch. How did you get the bolt off the pressure plate without the SST? Thanks for any advice on the job. Cheers.
