Like most things it's do-able however it's complicated expensive and time consuming. Some kits are available I think but maybe a better bet would be to find a scrapped truck from later that has AC and get the bits off it. You will need a Compressor, AC Rad, Fans, Pipes, sitches probably a mod to the dashboard, probably a new crancshaft pulley with an extra v grove in it to drive a belt for the compressor You may or may not be able to fit easily to the 20R engine depending on space to mount the compressor, belts and brackets. You should be able to find space to mount the rad and the heat exchanger for the cab but plumming it into the existing vents may be a complete dog of a job. Also you will still need a professional to charge the system. And any used system may need to be updated to take the new refrigerant gas (valves and seals) as the old stuff is no longer used.

Alternatively take it to a A/C specialist and get them to fit an aftermarket system- easier for you but harder on the wallet.

Alternatively move to the UK, you certainly won't get hot very often

Cheers
